Help With clod Axle

I am trying to remove my steering knuckel from my clod axle there is a 12mm nut I need to remove I feel like I am going to break something getting this nut off what gives left hand thread???

That 12mm "nut" is actually your 12mm hex drive, it is what drives the wheels. That 12mm hex does not screw on that stub axle, The outer stub axle is splined and so is the 12mm hex, it pulls straight off.

it is not pulling off i am deforming the plastic behind the hex drive

I got it there is a through pin hid under an o ring and dirt I needed to remove......

that wouldn't be a stock hex, you must have hex wideners or CVD's.
