As we all know, John was big into having these Hardline Forum rides in the last few years. We had talked about the next upcoming ride and he gave me hell about flaking on the last one due to a back injury. Anyhow, we didn't get on the calendar to check dates, but he had wanted to have one in the spring. I do not want to take away anything from any other riding weekend, so I thought we could start a thread here to see if there was any interest on a particular park or date. Either way, I would like to try and get a park and date hashed out before New Years. This will require talking to the park owners and making sure it will work with their facilities, and their schedule. Thoughts, concerns, opinions?

Nothing much to add, other than I will do everything I can do to attend. Crescent said shes out...camper was just too hard for her to climb into and riding was not fun while carrying little B.

Thanks guys. We have been together for awhile, and marriage was the plan. Having a child was not part of the plan but we have both been ok with it. She has 2 already and to sum it up in her words " this was fun 10 years ago, what are we thinking now ?" We both like outdoors and really respect and enjoy wheeling and camping with all of you, wished we lived a bit closer but then we realize there are FL AND SC folks that drive WAY more than we do to wheel.

Crescent and I will be in bham this weekend for my work Christmas party. The plan was to stop by and see Nan..we both feel so heartbroken for her. I did mention we had some apple pie for her and she was excited to her that.

That is great news Ben, but you both are still very young and have plenty of time to do what you both like, just get F'in Jimmy to do some baby sitting. :rolf: Seriously though, just another piece to your puzzle and everything will fall into place at the right time, till then, enjoy what you two can at the moment.
As for catching up with Nan, that is awesome especially at this time of year. I will try and get with her as well and Joy to see if there is something I can help with also. We could all use a "pull" off that apple pie as well. :drinkers:

I was sent a pm about an irellevant topic and in it was a reference to John wanting to go to AOP as the next HL forum ride. Settled as far as I am concerned. As for a date, that is the next topic of discussion. Anyone with any dates that will work 3-4 months out?

I will try n make it as well it will be an honor to hit some trails with friends for John G

Always gonna be something missing at a ride for me from now on without John but I also know that from now on I will always be reminded of him by just regular stuff that happens on a trail ride.
