You had any trouble with Rasberry ants yet?(named after guy that found them....Rasberry) Article in our paper said they had invaded you area of Texas and were causing havoc in all sorts of things. They love the indoors and clog electric panels etc.... Investigators have narrowed their point of origin to a cargo ship from overseas or a XRRA buggy importing Alabama mud!

they helped eat all his wires along with a little help from a pillow block breakage. i am also in Houston and have not had a problem with them yet, sugar ants however run wild around here

Yeah sugar and fire are the two that we have trouble with. We have to keep our kitchen spotless otherwise the sugar ones freakin teleport in. I spray down my trash can regularly with bleach to abate them. They are mainly a nuisence. Fire another deal, you just have to keep up with treating your yard and the 20 or so yards around your property.

Now raspberry ants, they have been killing the **** out of electrical everything. They seek out computers and munch the motherboards, I think they do it through corrosion. Wires, ****ed! I have zero experience at this point. but have heard a fair bit about them.
