dr performance? ohhh dat can't be good..Rule of thumb from Cummins is you can run 1250* all day long. I've heard 1300 from others, since of course cummins would underrate it. And I've run 1300 for miles on end towing heavy trailers with no problems. The internals in my motor still look perfect. I've shot my pyro up over 1600* plenty of times.. and a few times I've looked down with the needle at 1800.. It's usually no worry to play and see EGT's. Mostly people are worried about EGT's while towing. Since you're going to keep the temperatures up for a longer period of time.
