At least for the TJ D30 front, I think a hp is the way to go for stock motors and under 35 inch tires. Plus they are so cheap and easily converted. The exta 30 percent strenth (they say) seems to make the difference. If I could do it again I would not have dropped a dime on the stock low pinion 30 and would have gotten a hp to hold me out for a real setup.
