Buy a IFS mounting kit from TG or MC and mount it as far forward as possible, towards the Core support. Some actually notch out the core to mount it that much more forward. Just make sure the pitman arm clears the frame and that the rods don't bind, hit each other, or the leafs. :awesomework:

X2, except the kit wont be beefy enuf..plate both side of the frame and tie the plates together. Notching the core support is highly reccomended, move that box as far forward as you can

please SLEEVE THE FRAME BOLTS. :awesomework:

Ive seen a hundred tg kits where folks are too lazy to clean off the old torque arm hanger on the inside of the frame rail, so they welded a nut on the back of the plate before welding it to the frame. it starts to pull a pucker in the frame plate and eventually cracks off the foot on the box (plate forms, cast dont).

If done correctly you onle need to plate the outside of the frame.

Make sure you run the box as far forward as you can..

And also make sure you sleeve both lower bolts that go thru the frame and you are all good...

If you buy a flat pitman arm you can mount the box verticle which moves the bottom of the steering box two or three inches forward with out clearance issues with the core support but it does take a little fab work nothing too difficult though.

X2 on what every one has said..and when you notch your core support make your beef it back up or your core support mount will brake off the coresupport,

This is how mine turned out on the 86 that I built...

My frontend was quite a ways forward... rear springs up front, and a 0Rate pushing it forward another inch or so... so I had to get the box quite a ways forward to get enough tierod / draglink clearance
