Sure glad it ain't my dodge. :redneck:

It's all back together, but somethings awry. We start it up, thing runs great. Topped off the fluids and went to take a test run and that's when things got strange. When he got to the stopsign at the end of my street, he hit the power window switch, and the engine started stumbling. From that point on, the engine is hard starting, totally lacks power, but hasn't thrown any codes. :eeek:

Back to the driveway for a thorough check of every harness, plug, hose.... Everything is how it should be.... as I'm laying under the truck, checking things out, I hear Pat say "the exhaust is hot". Looking up at my arm laying against the luke warm cat, I start wondering. Lean condition on the passenger bank? I thought possibly there was an air bubble in the fuel rail, because the fuel line comes in on the drivers side, and the shraeder valve is on the passenger side. I tried purging the system both with the key off, and the key on, in hopes that the fuel pump would push the air out the shraeder. No luck, still runs like crap.

The real odd thing is the truck is not throwing any codes, not even a "battery was disconnected withing 60 starts". But even stranger, there were no codes to retrieve when he pulled the truck in with the old engine, with a broken rod. :eeek:
So does it sound like maybe a computer problem? Needs reflashed or something?

For those not in the know, a little history. '05 Dodge 1500 4.7 liter, buddy hydrolocked it, busted a rod, bought a remanned longblock....

Any ideas would be appreciated at this point.

Check all ground connections or look for broken or bad wire. Is the alternater kicking out the correct amount of volts?
