Thinking about getting a small group to ride at hollytree this weekend possibly Saturday (7-12-14) just wondering if anyone local rides there and could give any suggestions I have been there once when it first opened and seemed like it had good potential just needed more trails cut and better trail markings any info would help and if anyone wants to join feel free to come out and ride

They do have awesome terrain, but, there is a negative feeling for many on this forum towards the owners and the way they handle their business

Re:

I like riding there, found a bunch of new areas to play but need to be cut/cleared. Taking a saw next time we go

x2. Go support another park. Try Hale Mtn.

this!

Hale mtn is closed until labor day weekend.... they are hosting a night ride in August. I am thinking about putting together a clean up ride for the park as the owners are starting to feel overwhelmed and I would hate to see it go downhill.

We went to hale last month and I do like hale I just want to ride some new places and support some parks

As long as you are ok with a man that doesn't keep his word and are ok with having your tow rig damaged in the parking lot, Hollytree is a great park. Have at it. ::)

There are three climbs there I love, and want to go hit again sometime, but I just can't bring myself to go there after the way they treated some folks on here... Liars never last in business

What exactly did this guy do to have everyone so pissed off??? I don't know maybe I have missed something??

I hate that happen to Kevin and if he promised a payout he should have keep his word but I ain't a rock bouncer looking for money I just want to go ride this weekend and hit some trails I haven't hit before and was hoping someone might have some input on the trail status and if it has improved any since it first opened

Looks to me like you are asking the wrong group. Don't sound like people here have been there in over a year.

Might try a different site :dunno:

Pretty much. Its not about being a "rockbouncer". It's the way the owner chose to represent himself to the people who supported his park.

If they havent added any trails I wouldn't plan on an all day ride. :****:

Last time I was there, I could have rode the whole park literally in 2-3 hours. Nothing worth my hour drive there.

Adventure offroad is open this weekend, I think thats where I'll be riding

Holytree is only good for 1/2 day at best

Right behind ya! :driving:

Man that is crazy about Hollytree. I always wanted to go there but now I am glad we didnt. If someone did that to my truck i'd do more than slash their tires, and my truck isnt that pretty!

The only downside to AOP is all the stinking races they are having this year. If you go on an off weekend it's nice and not over crowded but on a race weekend good lord it's packed in there. GMP is still my favorite place to ride IMO it has the most technical trails and there is something for everyone there.
