I was watching Pass Time on Speed Channel and watched a guy witha a 4wd Duramax pull a 11.18 1/4mi. @ 54lbs boost and he said it was a daily driver?
Damn thats fast. Had some serious death wobble during the 4x4 launch but pulled hard the whole way. I need that engine:redneck:

If you're not in the 10's or 11's for the street classes anymore, you're not competitive at the diesel drags.. There's a few 4x4 quad cab Dodges in the 9's :awesomework:

Question...If you break 12's in the Coal drags, are you required to have a cage per NHRA rules??? Just curious as I've never seen the inside of these fast trucks in person, or an up close interior shot for that matter...

They follow the NHRA rules because they race on NHRA tracks.. But 12's shouldn't require a roll bar.. 10's do require it though. And 9's require a cage. Anything faster then 14 requires a helmet..

11.49 rollbar

9.99 or 135 mph for a cage.

They dropped it down to 11.49 eh? I watched a couple of my brother buddies years ago click off 12.01's and .02's all night and last run they both went for broke and pulled 11.7 something and 11.5 something and both got booted off the track. :haha:

you get two free warnings before getting in trouble.

An old neighbor of mine races his 69 Z28, and last I talked to him (couple yrs ago...), he broke the 12 second barrier twice in one day at PIR, and got booted; was told he was required to have a cage if he wanted to race again. Then later that summer got booted off Mission Raceway for the same deal...he's now caged!!!:haha: Trucks may have slightly different rules though...I dunno...

Fletcher definitely didn't.. He rain a 9.92 in his Dodge and they kicked him off the track.. He came back a couple of weeks later and they wouldn't let him run. Finally after the third return he promised he wouldn't run that fast again... He ended up running a 10.0X :haha:.. They weren't very happy.. But he still didn't run faster then he should have. So they couldn't do anything about it.

But now that truck is totaled anyways :booo:. And his other trucks are set up to run faster :cheer:

I guess I should be clear. You run too fast once they tell you dont do it again, do it again, you go home.
