holy poop bat girl, bad rearend

I am extreamly suprised, my 04' dakota 2wd has 83,900 miles on it and according to the dealer the carrier and pinion bearings have gone bad.
HOW THE HECK CAN THIS HAPPEN!!!! i have it serviced every 12,000 miles and its been perfect before this.

Can someone please give me some ideas how and why?:wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

My buddy with heavy right foot had the same problem in his Dakota, blew up the rear end. Mabey it wasn't just his driving to blame.

Well, its an 8.25 chrysler rear and the guys at Randy`s listened and said "yah its the carrier barrings, normal for that rear". Rardion`s in monroe wants just over 1000.00 for a rebuild and Randy`s wants just over 600.00...... Hmmmmm........ i think i`ll take it to randy`s.

My dad's 1/2 ton dodge's rear end went out around that milage, then like 50,000 later the tranny went poop
