Homemade LED lights??

Anyone on here ever make their own led light? I bought a 91 gmc truck that has an out of date zr1 roll pan on it and the lights are pretty dim. I would like to convert them to an led setup, anyone know where to buy the hardware needed for this ?

At work we build custom led arrays, spotlights, etc for inspection equipment we build, mill our own housings and circuit boards. Hand solder it all...

Pretty labor intensive building custom lights...

I'd look into retrofitting an off the shelf light into the roll pan

Wow that's sounds interesting. You have any suggestions on replacing 500w quartz lights. Lowes are just now coming out with some for $79 that are pretty close. All the light houses I go to they want $250 for something that puts out same light as a flood 500w quartz.

I think it was an 1157 bulb. But will have to check today, I'm not really sure why it's so dim, could be a voltage issue, could possible be where they are mounted lower. I replace the bulbs in 2 spots but it made no difference. And when you put your foot on the brakes the blinker stops also, that kinda makes me think it could be a voltage problem,I threw a new flasher in it, but that made no difference as well. Whoever installed this stiff look like they knew what they were doing it's a very clean job on it BUT it's just no right and I would like to not get hit from behind again by another car, been down that road 13 years ago and still have neck problems from it.

I just found some led replacement bulbs that go in the factory connectors at a place called Carid, prob order one today and try it, I'm pretty amazed that they make these like this.
