Ppl here do more wheeling like I do than ppl on Pirate so I'll ask here. How big is your fuel cell on your Gen III / IV engine buggy? I pretty much have no frame of reference having run propane for so long ... I'd like mine to be able to do a full day of wheeling without draining it so low that it has pickup issues but don't necessarily feel like I need to go all weekend without refueling.

I am running a 15 gallon on this buggy and had a 20 on my other jeep. The 20 always had plenty at the end of the day of hard wheeling.

I have an 8 gal. cell and a 388 lsx motor and have never ran out in a single day anywhere and can usually go a half a day the next day before I give in and put some in.

03 4.8(ie... cheap ls motor 300 bucks woohoo) 4' stroke, these motors can be bored 3mm and use a stock ls1 piston(ie. again cheap) with a stock rod and good bolts, a zo6 camshaft and comp 918 spring. and you have a cheap and easy 400 to 450hp for less than about 1800 bucks total if you shop all the parts for deals. I even used a 706 head wich is just an average run of the mill LSx head. I did this same combo for a customers stock suspension Drag Radial car, used more camshaft (custom ground N2O specs) An Aluminum rod( for durability) Same heads just a little bowl work with minor blending. A super victor intake with a carb and the MSD kit to convert it. This motor only had about a 10.4 comp. ratio and with a 275 tire and .078 nitrous pill in a single bar plate in a 3200 lbs mustang went 5.68 @ 134 and change in the 1/8 in good air earlier in the spring will run consistant .high 70's and low .80's in any air!! Putting a longer arm in these motors completely wakes them up.
