how much room do you have? in a navigator we built for my buddy's uncle, he took the 208 cut off half the case where the front output shaft goes down, removed the chain, and used it like a reduction box and put a hanging 205 behind it. it is a pretty long setup but cost pretty much nothing if you have the transfer cases.
