I am more of a fan of the 231c hd/241 in front of the 205. it has the 6 planet gearset instead of the 3 planet. going on the back of what tranny? if a 208 is what you got, run it. I'd say having a shaft made is cheap insurance. I see people make their own doubler shafts out of stockers with welding/keying, all this ****. almost never works. I say call D&D and ask duffy how much his shaft is. think its about $250ish. 4340 chromo. 360 649 4465
