Another one of those random things that come up..

several months ago I posted my suspension and axles, wheels and tires on Pirate for sale..
nothing...
Out of the blue yesterday, guy wants to buy my setup... For a nice price..
Enough for me to have links and tons.... thumb.gif

Anyway he's in El Paso....
I need to ship my axles, wheels-tires, suspension, and random bracketry...
Could freight, but thats a huge headache...
Thought about just doin the ol Half way meet.

Any suggestions...

and yes, i'll be collecting a healthy deposit and requiring commitment before i hack my rig up....

about how much you think it would be to freight that stuff....
It'd be on his dime...
But i hate to put it all on him, he is kinda helping me out...

Call Daniel at TSup, they have a hook up with a freight company. I have shipped 2 60's and 5 wheels before on the same pallet. Its not that bad. It helps if they can deliver it to a place with a fork lift.

Pallet and ship it fwd air, going to be spensive, maybe 500ish and its only terminal to terminal so he will have to pick it up at a terminal and you will have to drop it off at the BHM terminal.

:dunno:

$500 doesn't sound too bad....
but roadtrips are always a good time... :drinkers:

Prolly just tell him to man up and give me the extra $500...

Just to say. El Paso is closer to Los Angelos than it is to Houston TX.

I'm thinking B-ham has got to be about 1300 miles from El Paso/ Thats A LOT!

I shipped a motor throught them, ended up shipping through Fed-Ex Freight... Definetly reccomend it, motor was around $300 by the time I had it insured. Shipped from KC to Washington.

EL Paso is a long damn way. I would cost you much more to drive there and back than it would to ship via a truck

yea.. just tryin to figure out my options...
Deal is not 100% yet, but shipping is def. gonna play into the deal...

Damn texans and their 1300 miles away..... Thats why I hateTexas! :flipoff1:

If I could hook up your junk with the 421's for badassxj and comeonstart I'd do the trip

I need the work any way

Same type deal happened with me.. I ended up with $950 outta my toy axles (stock except aussie locker and hi-steer) :o

Then took a lil' bit of tradin to set mine up with h2 wheels/42" tires/d60 & 14b-axles/4.56 gears/hi steer/diff covers/shave job/rear disc and detroits for under $2k booyang... so for just a grand over what I sold the toyoterr stuff for I got in thur with the big tars n axe-hoes :drinkers:

:drinkers:

problem is domino effect.. you do axles/tires you're gonna wanna do shafts, flanges, etc... buncha crap... that's where it hurts!! laughing1

Know i'm gonna have to pony up for tires..
gna do cheapo DIY beadlocks or rock some H2's i already have..

Lookin for some cucv axles so i can rock the 4:56 gears and the detroit..
weld the front..

W. my 4cyl all i should have to do to the front is 35 spline outers, premium lockouts and a quality parts store joint... ;D

I lucked out found a 4.56/detroit 14b from a farmer for $250.. they are out there. Can't find D60/detroits anywhere so my expense was matchin the rear w/4.56's and detroit.

Yea the 4cyl rigs ain't gonna need much bling in the front but 42's will eat the stockers so 35's is a must... gonna try to keep lockouts on mine so I can croooz to sonic... booyang

I scored on the tires and wheels otherwise my $2k upgrade could have easily been $6k
