WildmanA typical now a days shop scanner should show you exactly the MPH the vehicles computer is seeing so if you think it is reading an incorect signal thats how I would confirm it, get access to a scan tool. IM guessing that you signal modifier has little dip switchs to change the setings? I ask cause the one I bought for my toyota/cheby did).
