HREW vs. DOM

for the rear bumpers. apparently, DOM is stronger, because its more expensive. but is it really worth the extra $100?

not sure on exact numbers as far as strength goes for DOM and HREW but i can tell you that DOM is far superior in strength than HREW:flipoff:

Are you building your own?
If so does it matter?
You most likely (for a bumper) are going to be ok.
The reason for the DOM in a cage is to save life & limb.
Your bumper is not as critical.

HREW dents waaayyyyy easier than DOM. If it is for a bumper, then YES it is worth the extra money.

Somewhere on the pirate board there are some pretty good articles on the bending strength of DOM. Check it out.

And if you need just "short pieces" for bumpers, I'm sure some folks here on the board can hook you up.
