• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

hydro assist ?

Use a 8 inch ram limit internally 1 inch With delrine, most place you have to buy a whole stick but its pretty inexpensive. You will need a 1/4 gap between the delrine and bore for the fluid to return.

Heres another way to limit travel. Never seen this done til I got this rig.
Has a piece of aluminum sleeved over the shaft. May have been link material and drilled to fit :dunno: works though.

Places like TSC or the CO-OP, have clip on spacers you can buy. Should be cheap.

Completely forgot about them, we use them on farm equipment to set depth of something thats raised/lowered via. hydro. cyl.
They are two alum. haves with a spring/retainer wrapped around them, with a opening. Hard to explain, but should work.

Same thing we've used on hydraulic cylinders before. Much easier to use than taking apart a cylinder to internally limit.

EDIT: Also in a farm situation, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with a good steering cylinder on an offroad vehicle.

In Knoxville we got it from a plastic supply place off Broadway. Not sure to tell you where to get it out of town. But it is the same stuff that you see on rock buggies to help them slid over rocks just in cylendar form. A race shop helped us find a place locally.
