Well I have been dealing with this now for about 2 months. I thought I had it figured out but then this past weekend I ripped the trackbar/hydro assist ram bracket off my axle. Thank god for my onboard welder!!

This happened on Wednesday and the trail repairs held until Saturday. I then just put a couple of taks on it so I could get it onto the trailer and off again. Well I had other things that nneded to done this past week so I never got a chance to work in it. Well today I started cutting the old stuff off and trying to make a better solution. Right now I have everything mounted as it was before but strengthened. I really wish/want a better way to mount the ram. The trackbar is fine and I see no reason to move it. What I am thinking of doing is to put the ram on top of the diff cover and try that. I have a Purple Cranium cover that should be up to/for the task.

Where has everyone else mounged their rams on TJ's.

Well I slept on it last night and came up with a new mount for my hydro assist ram.

I mounted it to the top of the diff cover and I think(hope) this will work.

The only thing I am not sure about is if would help any to box in the brace I ran from the diff cover ring to the back of the tab mount.

So here is the final setup.

You might consider opening up your backet a bit and using a washer. It looks to be overtightened and a gap is showing. It will work loose and possible snap. I made the same mistake myself.....it snapped.
