#1 How do I center the ram. It turns 1" more to the left than it does to the right.
#2 Not sure what to call them other than end caps See pics One side has a .065 gap to the body of the ram and the other side is flush to the body of the ram.
Not sure if its a problem or thats just the way it is.

Mark,
I would disconnet the tie rods. Center the wheels straight (measuring) center the piston inside the cylinder (measureing stroke ect) then measure out to your knuckles. Move the the whole setup left or right until its centered.
connect tie rods.

Your gonna have to take the ram apart to fix.

I would just run the ram the way it is unless you aren't getting full steer.

Looks like it is a 8" ram that someone limited to 7" to save the yota knuckles from exploding... How much shaft is shiny sticking out of the cylinder?

No stops on the shafts thats where it necks down. One side has a 1"1/2 sticking out the other has 1/2. It doesn't have toyota knuckles it dana 60 knuckles from a ford.

Ahh so you ended up with that old axle... I got ya.

I'm saying there is probably a stop inside the cylinder on the passenger side of the piston where you can't see it... That would explain the extra inch of shaft that isn't getting used.

What Trashy said is what I was trying to say. The ram looks limited inside. You will have to tear apart the ram to fix.
