Driving home Friday, I spot a black yota truck and notice from passing the grille is later 80's and its rocking a straight front end. Has a for sale sign in the
windsheild so I yank a U turn to check it out.
I pull up to it and... OH ****.... its an 85 with a replaced 22re , 5sp , new 31 buckshots , and its a Xcab SR5.. Power windows, Pioneer CD playa the body is resonably straight and the windshield says xxxx.xx OBO. I make the call get some info and ask what bottom dollar cash can get it for. Kids in school in Tuscaloosa yada yada sob story I need the money, its sitting in his parents yard.
Mom happens to pull in the driveway while Im pulling out... she stops and offers up the keys for a test drive... " I dont know anything about it but you can drive it if you want "
Fugg yea I wanna drive it. It starts right up in yota fashion and its uber quiet and smooth idling... Hell yes.. I listen for wierdness ( timing chain slap ) kick a few tires then drive off. It drives real well , all though it does need seals up front cause the wheels have dope all on them, no biggy.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO .................... Looks like Im the proud owner of a 85 Yota Xcab 5sp 22re " Back to the future" replica truck with 4 KC daylighters on it !!!!! ;D

I really cant afford to keep it with the buggy project going on and so forth.
