Alright so we installed a set of superior shafts in my dads gm d60 and replaced the lockouts with drive flanges.. My question is

Shouldn't the drive flange puck be up against the snap ring to keep the axle from sliding into the housing? or with the shafts auto center once driven? Or is the snap ring on the axle stub shaft more for lockout style hub?

Is there a bushing missing on teh back side of the stub shaft?

Kind looks like the stub is too far into the spindle

You got something missing or ? Usually you have to pull the stub up to get the snap ring on.

The bushing is on the stub shaft. I think its just the angle of the photo.

I am not sure what could be missing, it is set up in the same manor as the stock shafts. I am not sure what you mean to pull the stub up to put the snap ring on?

Snap ring on the groove at the end of the shaft. Then bolt your cover onto the flange. you'll end up sucking the puck out to the snapring. recheck after you've driven it a bit you may need to resnug to make that puck tight in there.

There's a rubber seal that goes on the stub shaft to seal the back of the spindle normally you have to pry the stub out towards the hub to see the snap ring groove. What kind of fastner are you using on the spindle ?

Did your snap rings come with the drive flanges or axles? I didn't receive any with my axles or drive flanges and both were purchased new. :dunno:

I did that but it only got to within .5in of the snap ring...

My 10 factory 35 spline superduty stub shafts don't even have snap ring grooves

I just put it together without the rings and it seems to work great...
