you are a winner i dont know though. at 3/4 closed i was able to get 26psi out of it. 32psi is max on the stocker. i should be good

Jonathon was the first around us to try it.. 02 I think, maybe 03. Pinched the line off with some visegrips on the dyno to try and squeeze some more out of it.. Turbo went bye bye on the next run :redneck:

waste gates are over rated.... i just pull the hoze off mine... 50+psi....
hell... now that i eliminated the creep i can hit 20 psi by 1200 rpm

yeup that was a dirtymax. For some reason the dmax and the powerchoke can't handle excessive boost all that well (for stock turbos atleast). The dodges you can pinch off the wastegate and no problem. But over a certain amount you aren't getting anywhere anyways. I ran 45 psi for a LONG time on my stocker. But anything over 34 or so really wasn't doing anything for me.

You see the dirtymax ran 9.40's? There's more in it too. I definitely wouldn't dump it. Just cause the stock turbo can take a dive doesn't mean you should sell the truck. I'm on my 5th turbo, 4th clutch, 2nd head gasket. delivery valves a few times.. fuel plates a few times, heads gotta get ported to flow worth a crap. Injectors will get changed out again soon. Trust me, you've got a good truck.

yea those definitely have a lot to do with it. I was dreaming about a 2wd dmax for a daily driver.. even early ones are still pricey. Dodge's are finally the cheap option.
