I was given a new motor today . What do you guys think about a 472 Big Block out of a huge Caddy . Its got about 30,000 original miles on it from my uncles 1 owner car . The best part it was free. Any suggestions to what I should do with it. loller.gif drool thumb.gif  ;D skully

The BB Caddy is a torque monster!
Check out the book"Big Inch Cadillac" by Doc Frohmader will tell you everything you need to know about that motor and its stroked sister the 500. As well as how to soup it up. I think it runs around $30-40 shipped on Amazon. I take that back I see Speedway has it for $22.99

The awesome thing is they are high nickel blocks and with an aluminum intake and switching to headers you are only 50 lbs heavier than an SBC. Only downside, and its not really a big one is that you have to run the BOP tranny's or score a Bellhousing adapter kit. I've actually got one I scored off a dude that drag raced a Gas Rail in the late '70s but sorry its not for sale.

My old man is a freak about the BB cadillacs. He buys everyone he comes across thats a runner. Hell we've got a Class "A" Land Speed Motor sitting in the shop, Cad 500 punched out to 529. Naturally aspirated 750-800 hp.

Another good source of information and parts is cad500parts.com

The yota's gonna be peppy! ;D I still think you should swap some motors around and put the mazda's v-6 in the yota, and throw the cadi in the mazda and slam it for fun on the street. laughing
