or at least having a fullsize tow rig in the city, I can get in and out of my driveway as long as fawking a-holes don't park right up to the edge. My '04 Ram quad cab shortbed on 37's can turn pretty tight (for a big rig) but with the narrow street I get fawked when people ignore the law (RCW 46.61.570 (1)(b)(i)) that clearly says "No parking w/in 5 feet of a private driveway." I'm about to fire up the jeep and winch them out of my way.

What neighborhood do you live in? Maybe you could park a van across your own driveway. That'd be 20 ft of parking space plus an extra garage to store junk.

No stay there, traffic is horrible out here & there all kinds of satanic redneck weirdo's out this way (sorry Crusty, at least I didn't use your name):flipoff:

Other drivers/parkers annoy me. Especially the ones that park crooked in the space and leave JUST enough room for a compact car in a normal size space, unless you want to climb out the window of your truck without opening the door. And it's the last space in the lot too, always.

So move out to the country. We have peaches. A lot of peaches.

Millions of peaches... infact, there are even peaches for free. But they're all for me.

I live in Montlake. I can get it/out just fine if asshats aren't breaking the law. I don't prefer to live in the city, trust me, but when your wife inherits a mortgage free house in Montlake, that's hard to pass up. One of the cars was gone this morning so I could get out, makes me miss my old commuter car...

OK, thats it. A free house!!!! No more complaining out of you:redneck: ...

I'll gladly trade you a house that comes with a hefty mortgage for one that just has to put up with some parking problems...

I know, I shouldn't bitch. :ashamed:

yeah, it's narrow, if I have the Ram parked on the street and another car is parked on the opposite side of the street, the garbage truck has to fold in both his/my mirrors to get by

Pull up to the offending vehicle and lay on the horn until the fawker comes out. Also, posting signs on either side of your drive with "No parking East/ West/ South/ North of this sign. Violating vehicles will be pounded" :redneck:

Have you painted the curb upto the 5ft mark? We did this for one of our building in Queen Anne. I think it's painted yellow. Our vehicles are at least as big as your Ram. Many are larger. Idiots like to park as close to the coffee shop as possible. The other option is to buy some POS and park it at 5ft line. The problem with this is having to rotate the car's position every once in a while. The Seattle parking Nazi's have no problem ticketing a vehicle. I work all over Seattle driving an E250. Not alot of fun.

Buy a beater and then dont register it. Repeat instructions above.

:)

Or just tow the cars.

Usually I've got my jeep parked on one side or the other to protect the space, but the one time I couldn't park it in one of those spots I got jacked. I think I might try the spraypaint thing, but it seems like people just ignore that ****. Next time I might just call the po po, if peoples see a car getting towed, maybe they'll get the picture. :redneck:

parking

I live on a narrow street to across from the park so i deal with that same crap but all the inconsiterate park a/holes to when i park my tahoe i drive up on the sidewalk not on the grass but just on the curb with the front and rear tires it keeps the rig out of the street and some people wont park in front of me or behind me i think they think im crazy lol and it really works plus makes your rig look that much bigger ....

yeah seattle sucks, i drive a street sweeper and have to do jobs there frequintly. its always in the narrowest streets loaded with dump trucks, trailers, and fullsize rigs. its always fun.

just park your truck/spare vehicles so they can't move their cars. when they can't get to work/school/shopping/whatever, they'll quit parking there!
