We got a ton of dillers on our club. They make more noise than something that small is susposed too. This one got a little too close. thumb.gif

The arrow pinned his ass to the ground.

Thunderhead broadhead scuffed his ass up!

Its a pain in the ass to get an arrow out of these things. With that shell I had to turn it until I aligned the the entry hole with the broadhead. laughing1

I come to realize why those things are all over the road dead. The other night coming home from work I seen one start to cross the road from about 30 yards out as I got closer he kept walking at a casual pace. I come to a complete stop and unlike a squirrel or rabbit that turns around he just kept casually walking on across the road.

I know they can run like a scalded dog though we were down in the Nat. forest back in my younger/slimmer years and seen one cross the road and jumped out and chased it through the woods right at dark.

Nice shot. I've been carrying a feild point lately just for a squirrel. Never in my life have I seen so many of the bastards, they're like gnats this year.

Thanks.

Its got to be all the acorns we got this year. I've seen more, bigger squirrels than ever before on our place.

I'm waiting on some cooler weather! Its they ass then! :eat: ;D

We've got an insane crop of acorns up here as well. I hunted in PA last wk and you couldn't find one, crazy, they got nothing. The winter wheat is popping up now though. I'm lucky enough to be hunting hardwoods between that and an apple orchard  I saw 10 doe and 1 buck last saturday evening, heading back up there on thursday for a wk. I love the PA rut!

Sounds like a hell of a spot. thumb.gif

I hope we get a good rut this year.....for the past couple its been what I call a "trickle rut". You might kill a buck, it stink, and be swollen one day the next no sign of a rut going on. Sucks....but its still huntin'. loller.gif
