You better get a sye for it before you go any higher.

i already did. i had blown up my d35 on the mountain about two months ago and last week i just finished installing my soe and a ford 8.8 with m.o.r.e. bracket kit to help prevent axle rap

Ditch the 4" lift springs, get some RE 1444's or 1445's, go spring over.... you'll end up with about 6.5 inches of lift and a great ride both on road and off road. Skip the wacky shackles and use either your stock ones or some slightly longer ones, not 4" longer ones (which is what you'll need for 2" of lift in the back).

SOA doesn't equal bad street manners if you do it right... infact it will probably ride better than some mega arched stiff SUA lift springs.

Otherwise, just leave it as is and trim the fenders if you're wanting to run something larger tires... IMO.

I'm running a 3.5" SUA, 1" body, M.O.R.E. boomerangs, TJ flares in the rear with tube fenders up and run 37's. Keep it low and don't do a shackle reversal.

Remember also that if you do a shackle reversal up front, you're going to need to build or buy a long travel front driveline, because of the way the axle travels when the springs droop. Shackles in stock front location, axle drops down and back, driveline slips a minimal amount... shackles in back, axle drops down and to the front, driveline needs a lot more slip. Not saying don't do it, just something to factor in with the costs.

I'm wondering about the 37's on a YJ if they rub the frame and/or leafs in front when turning? My 33x13.50's rub at full lock and I'm at 60" wms-wms, same as stock. Are there wheel spacers involved?

To gain 4" of lift with longer shackles, your shackles will need to be 8" longer than stock......

Go SOA, or get to trimming them fenders.

I ran 36" with a 2.5" SUA lift, a 1" body lift, and trimmed my fenders as much as possible and used some TJ flares.

Keep in mind for every inch you add to the shackles you only get half that amount in lift...

So if you wanted to add 4 inches of lift in the rear you would need to add 8 inch longer shackles then what you have now. This would make a very long shackle and be very unstable.

You could move the frame shackle mount down to the bottom of your frame in the rear...

Do the shackle flip in the front and do an SOA in the rear.:corn:

I'm at 60.5" WMS with 17x9" wheels with 3.5" backspacing. I do rub the front springs a little but what has that got to do with a lift? My old 44 front rubbed very little because of the knuckle stops. My 60 doesn't have stops. The rubbing isn't an issue as it barely scuffs the tires and I don't care.

so where do i find a body lift or would i just have the local fab shop make it and tj flares you can find on every street corner any chance you guys have pics of your yj's so i can see how it looks. im just ignorant and inexperienced at this stuff but i would like to see the stance of the jeep with that lift
