Today I took the first step to turning my Xterra into what I want it to become. I have Painted some of the plastic (grille, headlight covers, front mudflap area, and rims) in Duracoat truck bed lining. I like it black but I wanted a bit of texture added to the mix. Today I removed my roof rack to be painted in the same coating, but I went a step further, which is why I am so excited. The accent color I am going to use on the rig will be blue, and I found a very cool metal fleck paint. Here is what I did:

First off I have to say the X looks RETARDED without the roof rack.

All roof rack components painted and masked. with accent color painting done as well

And the final result. I am waiting for the paint to cure overnight inside before I put the rack back on tomorrow.

Completed. I got it back together today, and got a bit more done as well.

For your enjoyment:

Funny you mention that... Ive noticed after Walker I rub a lot less. Its ok. The new bumper in the works will fix that.
