A coworker sent me pictures of this set up his neighbor yanked out of his old military jeep he is restoring. And asked if I could help him ID the set up.

Looking at the pictures and what little I know about the military era jeeps I believe the tcase is a Dana model 18 with an after market over drive unit bolted on the PTO.

I can't tell what the transmission is though. Maybe someone can help.

Are they original components from the jeep?

No idea. My coworker told me his neighbor (the current owner) bought it to restore and it had been sitting in a barn since the 70's. Still has the gun mounts in it though.

Really having a tough time with the trans. Can't make it out. None of the numbers seem to match anything.

Trans looks like a 4 speed Saginaw (1977-80). T-case is a Dana 18 with OD. There is an aftermarket aluminum adapter between the two. Can you get a better picture of the driver side shifter plate on the trans?

If he wants to sell it, let me know.

Looks like a Saginaw 4 speed. 3 speed has only 2 levers on the side cover, 4 speed has 3 levers. In the 3rd picture I believe I see the reverse lever tucked in behind the linkage. It is a Saginaw for sure.

Nope its a saginaw 4 speed. 2 levers control all the forward gears. T10 has the reverse lever behind the side cover.

Yup, you guys are correct, after looking at the photos again I saw the 3rd shift lever.
