Identify Front Axle , not sure what i got

this is a A axle I got it has 6 bolt hubs not sure what it is Help!!

one hub looks to be aluminum and one steel?? , I have the hubs somewhere and the bearings are shot or maybe just need adjusted
wondering what it is I got it on a 80 Datsun pickup that was obviously modified think the truck origanaly was 2wd , thanks everyone

looks to be a narrow dana 44...got the flat top knuckle..

Def Chev or a drilled knuckles and it's SOA (can't see the bottom to tell if that's original or not) Maybe IH Scout? Dodge/Chev cut down?

Google : Datsun 4x4 conversion

It looks a Dana front axle, and by the looks of the steering knuckle a D44. However it's tough to tell, as Dana made D25 / D27 / D30 all in a steering configuration which could have been made for a high-steer scenario. However my guess is the axle is late 70s, ergo it's a D30 or D44. I'd guess D44.

SOA older waggy axle? maybe a waggy axle with stock flattops?

edit: an its got a yota steering box still attached? maybe a franken axle then...

2nd edit: never mind, its a saginaw box, i will stick with my frankenstien older waggy axle theory...

I would agree as well. There were several companys making these axles out of jeep axles to fit into mini truck conversions. Many of the parts are kobbeled together from differant mfgs. and can be very difficult to find parts for.

I remember a number of years ago I bumped into a guy up at reiter(maybe 10years ago) he had some d30 under his datsun that was part of some kit he had bought. Didn't think I would evere hear of such a thing again.

one of our guys sold one of these at the swap meet last yr ('08)....Dana 30...It came out from under a 78 Datsun 4x4 (conversion obviously); had the same knuckles as this one---also had the same 6bolt hubs and solid rotors...

Skinny leafs, so an older CJ or Scoutm Dana 30 or 27. Need a pic of the center section.

The flat top knuckles are worth something. The rest looks like good lawn dart.

They are a hack job from the factory!! True fact.

That front was never in a jeep and then put in a hacker. It has solid metric brake discs that never came on a d30 untill WOLVERINE conversions got their hands on them.

I have had three trucks from wolverine

A datsun, a courrier, and a HiLux. I am not making assumptions or educated guesses.

Heres one of the toyotas I parted. The toyotas are even stranger, they have a five lug front to match the five lug 2X rear end. Same shitty brakes and hoaky histeer arm. Some of the arms are welded on the knuckle too.
