You buy threaded inserts to make a job easier... Damn if I didnt spend HOURS ****ing with there shitty ass 1.25 12TPI threaded inserts.
Step one... try to thread THIER joint into it... not good
Try Jonny joints , still not good.
Get a small wire brush and try to clean up the threads in the insert ( debris from being tapped and what not ) Blow air through them to make sure the threads are clean.
Try steps one and two again.. ( thier joint and JJ's ) Still not that good.
Put insert in vise and use a small screwdriver to help thread the joints into the inserts. Most go in pretty good and they start to thread on off somewhat by hand, the others fight every turn. A few I get half engaged hoping they will "loosen" like a few did and they dont. Now Im fighting to get them off the joints as they wont go forward or back off. Well **** this, now Im pissed so I took every damn one of them off.
How do I know its the inserts. Because I can thread the nuts up and down each joint like nothing.
Now this would be one thing if its the first time I ever had issue with them. But I swear every single piece Ive ever bought from them ( and I buy this kind of **** to save time and time only ) has been mis-represented or not worth a **** fit and finish wise.
Ill be calling them shortly. Honestly Id prefer not to have one single part of theres on my rig at this point. It pisses me off when I spend the money get the parts have everything set up and a goal to get a task completed and the **** I order and pay for is NOT what it is said to be or does not work as it should. A waste of my time is worse to me than wasted money... and i dont particularly like wasting either !
