Whats the best way to put my walbro fuel pump in a cell. As how to keep it from just floating around in there and also how do I go about hooking the lines up. I haven't bought the cell yet im curious how I go about this. Seems most the cells I seen have the fuel outlets built Into them and dont have a way to run lines to a internal pump.its a tbi motor so its not pulling too much pressure

I've been wondering this also. Seems the only pre-made options out there are $$$$ for internal pumps on fuel cells.

My idea was to get one of these: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rci-7032b/overview/

and add it to a blank fuel cell, weld a drop piece onto the bottom of it to hold the pump. Then all your fittings (pressure, return, vent, fill) are all on one assembly.

I assume that has male fittings on bottom? I have a inline pump for a tbi chevy but im trying to run what I got because I know it works and is the factory pump for my dodge. Thanks for the link

Yeah, like that ^

Same thing I was planning on building (with a single pump) for a hell of a lot less money!

I'd be super surprised if you could source and build that setup for less than Wayne sells them for, and you get his 1000's of hours of testing and prototyping for free.

It's just an off the shelf pump, some fittings and hard line... I already posted a top plate assembly for $90. And those walbro pumps are about $120. Plus max $50 in misc other parts.

May not be as "Ultra 4" as the alltech setup, but it would work fine.

Yes you can. I just put a similar setup in a jeepspeed cell. Sorry, forgot to take any pics before I dropped it in.

If you can't make the plate yourself, buy a steel rci plate, or even better a jaz plate with the removable fast fill neck. I can cut one on the cnc as well if you pm me. you can buy the 16 and 24 bolt seals for the plates from summit as well as the ring that goes inside the cell that holds the bolts if you don't already that with your cell.

Buy the walbro 255 pumps from wide open design or summit. You can get most of the fittings from either of them as well, or use hydraulic fittings. Get the socks for the bottom of the pump(s) or add walbros.

Buy some of these to pas the wires through on a bolt

or buy one of these form summit

Weld some thing to the bottom of the plate to hold the pumps on at the right height with hose clamps. It's not the easiest thing to make yourself, but you can save some $$ and it aint rocket science.

This is what I built to fit in Cole's existing AL cell.

This is who I get my Walbro pumps from.

$86 and free freight. He sells a BUNCH on eBay.

That is for the inline pump kit,

Here is a link to the 255lph pump with the "In Tank" install kit (comes with sock filter, wiring harness, etc

And here is what I was talkin about for $120, it's the bigger 450lph Walbro in tank pump that is good for 750+HP

I guess if you want to just pick up the phone and bolt in a dual pump setup, the Alltech setup isn't that expensive.

I'd rather spend a few minutes putting the fittings together myself and save a couple hundred $

That setup with the dual walbro pickups on the ends of the intank pumps is pretty sweet, but that is RETARDED pricing for a cable gland.

My walbro pump is just the factory pump truck came with. I was jsut goin to pull it out of its housing and use it. Think I may try the summit plate route. Put me piece of round stock on the bottom of it and hose clamp my pump to it. It sounds :afro: but it may work.

Alltech sells and uses the inline GLS392 pump with a sock. There is a fitting that screws onto to fit a sock. Not sure where to get it. last one they sent here had a -6 an male end that they turned down to fit the sock. I'm sure the one you posted would work fine as well, looks like the hose attaches with a hose clamp.

These screw into the GLS392 pump

Everything from ATL is stupid expensive.

Yeah it's the same pump but with a sock kit.

I don't see a problem with hose clamps, looks like it would make install easier, and it comes with a piece of submersible line. I'd ditch the little worm drive clamps and use actual EFI hose clamps. They dont damage the hose and clamp more evenly.

I'll probably get an inline pump and do a walbro pickup setup like you posted.

That's a cool solution to needing a sump. And sumps only work for a little while when you're on your side
