The majority of us witnessed the birth of the World Wide Web. We also remember a time before it. So the most simplistic question: has the internet changed your life for the better?

Remember when you had to go to the Library if you had a question nobody could answer? +1 to the innernets.

Remember when you would read whatever spray can mamaw had on the back of the toilet? +1 to the innernets.

Remember jerkin it to VHS? +1 to the innernets.

Remember having any fake innernet friends, just those 3 guys you wheeled with and (as far as you knew) the only 2 parks that existed in the WORLD? +1 to the innernets.

Remember when shits took <5 minutes? -1 to the innernets.

Late night on the channels we didnt get you could kinda make some audio and maybe a tit if you stared real hard. Had to have cartoon network on "last" so if anyone walked in the living room you could change it back real fast.

If I did not have time to go to the library, and our set of encyclopedia did not have it, you did not need to know it. I still find it amazing, the knowledge that we have (and take for granted) at our finger tips.

Agree

I feel internet has had a positive & negative affect. I would say internet was largely positive before smartphones and social media really started to gain popularity around 2010ish.
Now i would lump it in as an overall negative, constant emails texts and calls 24/7 at work. No downtime allowed
Social media is a huge productivity killer and creates alot of problems that really dont exist.

However being able to snap a picture or video of something and send to someone, the power of search engines etc is awesome. Forums were awesome in their hayday. Much more info available than the usually grocery store magazines. The potential of advertisement on social media is a plus
