It's a glitch in the newest IOS. They are working a fix for it, but for now you just have to live with it.

Personally made the switch to Apple several years ago due to their stability and trouble free platforms. As of late, they have had way more issues than this guy wants to tolerate. Just not sure the alternative is any better. Also, notice the third person in this paragraph because it won't let me type the letter eye as a stand alone.

Get your **** together Apple.

This is why I never do the updates, seems like everytime I have done an update on an Iphone it has caused the phone to stop working a ahort time later.

Samsung Galaxy = can't beat it. Had an S5 for a long time, upgraded to a used S7 a few months ago. I'll never own an iphone.
