Is interstate 55 closed around Memphis

My old man is going to Mississippi and sounds like 55 is closed around Memphis anyone know if it is

my house is about 100 yards from the interstate at the Missouri/Arkansas state line. This **** is a joke. Nothing is moving. If he goes, wish him luck. Make sure he has a full tank of gas and a sandwich.

Talked to him about an hour ago said he was almost to Memphis.

good deal, I was out about a hour ago and nothing was moving. there was 9 wrecks from the state line to the first Blytheville exit.

sad to say its not Memphis. its Mississippi county in Arkansas the dumbasses seem to have a major wreck every damn day on the interstate. it was shutdown again tonight.
