i found a 2000 dodge 3/4 ton sport. with a 5.9 cummins. extended cab, auto. with about 120000 on it. but it was in a wreck. and the front end is junk apperantly. it needs an engine oil pan, and a starter. and i think the frame might be damaged, but i dont know for sure. there is some body damage, but nothing major. the guy wants 5500 for it. i wanna know if it would be worth my time and money to pick it up and fix it. and if it would be realistic to swap a 5 or 6 spd into it. i was also told that is has an oddball motor in it that was only out for one year. anybody know anything about it? and i dont wanna keep it stock, i want to tune it and all that good stuff to squeeze as much power out of it as i can. lemme know what you guys think

That seems really high for a parts truck.

If the frame is bent *I* would just be buying it for the motor, then hoping to part out the cab and bed to recover some of the $$.

Now if you had a simular truck and could meld the two... it might be a deal.

If you had any other truck.. an old Ford.. or even a newer Ford.. Chevy whatever. It'd be a good truck to swap everything over and then part out what you don't need.. But there is no odd ball motor for the year 2000.. And if you want any kind of performance out of the truck, as far as speed.. I'd stay with the auto. Putting that truck back together would just be a pain..

Yea dont be gay thats sumthin bornhorney would think of tell him you will give him 500 bucks and a 30 pack of keystone. then put the cummins in the chebby

Why, you would be putting a superior drivetrain in an inferior truck?:masturbanana[1]:
