jeep auto tranny ???'s

so, the bellhousing on the tranny is broke....

3 speed auto from YJ's..
I think its the "999" tranny....???...does that sound right?

what else did it come in??....need one ASAP...

oh, and anybody got one sitting around?

These are super easy to rebuild. Also, put in a transgo shift kit. I put one in the wifes TJ. She picked up 2 MPG. Make sure to drill the valve body to the "firmer shift" size drill bit. Otherwise you won't be able to feel the difference. Oh yeah... linky-

it will surely have a shift kit in it, prolly a transgo, as I've always had the best luck w/ them as well....though, I doubt the comp jeep will see any increased milage because of it...:fawkdancesmiley:

but now, for clarification.....did ALL YJ's come w/ this tranny?? (when auto of course)....did they never use the AW4 or wtf ever was in the cherokee's??
and what ELSE came w/ these?

the bellhousing in the comp jeep is 'shattered'.......that should drive the point home a little better..

behind the 4.0 it was always the TF999 in YJs, even TJs have the 999. No aw4 in wranglers
