Jeep guy with a Yot ?

I have a 85 horunner (4runner) and i let Jimmy drive it, So it needs a new body. So i picked up a full 4runner body from a 87. Both are/were EFI. But the 87 Has most of the dash out and some of the under the hood items. wiring N little stuff like that.


So my question is will all the 85 stuff (DASH WIRING ECT) work N fit in the 87 shell. And how difficult of a swap is this?

mines a 85 and the moter i swaped in was 87...the efi parts are not the same.u should be fine as long as u use the same harness and brain...crash would know more then me.

Take everything from the 85 casey and stuff it into the 87' There are a few differences between the 2 but you can eliminate allot of those issues by using everything (dash wiring/cluster) from the 85'.

So then the dash from the 85 will bolt in to the 87 without major mods? Thanks for all the help/insite by the way.

Yup direct swap no problem at all with things swapping between bodies. The dash will take a bit or work to swap but you won't run into any troubles with things not fitting together.
