This was Tom's idea, but I'm gonna post it here on the forums cause so many folks have asked me about it.

I recently made a flat belly pan for the TJ, I do have a 3 inch body lift so I had plenty of room to push the entire drivetrain way up inside. After seeing the price of the lifted motor mounts from various companies, Tom suggested this idea, which works famously.

I took some new stock mounts and filled the space in the voids with silicone to strengthen them up a bit.

We then took some rectangular stock, and cut it to length. (More or less depending on how much you need to raise your motor). We bolted that to the existing frame mount, and then bolted the new motor mounts on top of the spacers.

Works great for less than $10 in material and fasteners.

Nice RTV booty fab repair skill's on that motor mount. :redneck:

But the lift will work.

It isn't repair, those are new mounts with silicone packed in them for strength. I did get a little sloppy with the silicone.

If you look at the stock mounts, they have lots of empty space in them causing premature wear.

when I broke my stock motor mounts I went to MORE bombproof mounts. not really to spendy, about $69 on Ebay.

They are pretty easy to make. If you wanna go that route.
