Planning a little build on my jk. I wheeled my jk on 35s for a little while, but was ready for some upgrades. Going to put a hp 60 and sterling 10.50 in it, with 14 inch travel RRD coilovers from rock krawler in the front, rear will be 14inch ORIs, rock krawler long arms upgrade, and 39.5 iroks.

I did not weld the tubes, a friend welded them for me.
The ORIs are on order and should be here in 6 weeks or less
Going with 5.38s, detroit rear, spartan front is the plan. Once I have some more parts in, some cutting and welding will happen.

cant wait to see this :dblthumb:

what are your plans for the abs and esp with the new axles? also how are you planning to mount the ori's in the rear?
Just winging the axles, the ori will mount on top of the axle and probably go into the tub. Planning on some frame work in the rear by the ori

i hear ya.... good luck with that... these jks are too smart and recognize even the little changes...

The solid axle hub conversion will have tone rings in it with 55 teeth, the jk is 52, and the rear sterling has a tone ring at the diff. Ill play with the sensors and the tipm to get it to function correctly.

had a nice gift arrive at the house today while I was at work. ORI should be shipping soon, solid axle hub converison should be shipping this week, and still alot of other **** I need to order. Hopefully you should see some progress in the not to distant future.

Got some more parts in today, getting a little closer to actually getting started and wheeling this thing again.

Got the axles out. Also cleared the rear wheel wells. Got angry with hammer and I gained about 2 inches of clearance around, and I cut about 2-3 inches off in the rear. I am hoping to make full bump an inch or two lower, maybe three.
The tire is not completely seated on the bead.

Tires will sit about here and the jeep should be about 3-4 inches taller.

Got a little bit of work done saturday. All the frame side mounts are done. Seems like every two steps forward we took , we needed to go 3 steps back. We ran into some issues, but atleast most of them are out the way so the build can go a little quciker now. For future jk knowledge a sterling 10.50 will not fit into a jk with the stock wheel base. It gets all up into the fuel tank. If you relocate it or strecth it atleast 6 inches, then you will be golden. I will be relocating a gas tank behind the axle like it is with a stock tj. This will lead to a triangulated 4 link within the next year, but right now i just want to get it back on the wheels.

This is where the gas tank was, I have all kinds of space now. I will relocate the evap canister to the right of the transfer case and make a skid that goes frame rail to frame rail. The current location of my evap was hitting my truss on the rear.

Rear lower control arm mount. If you are familiar with the jk, then you know how far done the lower control arm mount is on the axle. This one is just past the axle, but not by much.

Ready for a little cleaning and then coilover mounts.

All the front arms are put in and ready for mounts on the axle. I have the lower control arm mounts burnt on, and I just need to figure out where I need to put the upper.

just got done with installing a tj tank in a 4dr jk.

keep up the work!
A 4 door with 42s? If so i have talked to that guy a couple times about his. How did the install go?

Got a little done tonight. Got the upper link mount set, and the frame rails cleaned up to mock the coilovers up tomorrow. Had to cut the stock track bar mount off the frame, but it is worth it. The front axle is stretched about 2 inches. Also ballistic came through and I received my truss today. :woot:

Sorry for the crooked picture. I suck at taking pictures.

yeah thats the one. we are about to 4 link the rear with ori's and eventually swap a 6.0 in it and through some tube at it. been having some trouble with the atlas cables but other than that it gets beat and will cruise 80mph on your way home with the ac running.

Got alot done today, and it is sitting on all 4 tires. The wheel base is 118.5 inches, belly height is 20 inches, and 79 inches to the highest point on the hard top. I have 5.5 inches of up travel in the front and will have about the same in the rear. A big thanks to redbarron, ying yang, duece daddy, kbwjeep, and Jonathan ( can't remeber your user name) for the help today. We have track bars, tie rod, drag link, and various things. Would have got the tie rod and drag link, but ruff stuff sent the wrong weld in bungs.
Spyntec Kit and high steer arm. The black thing is a hub condom, don't want it to catch a disease.

The axle are not centered, the front needs to go to the driver, and the rear needs to go the passenger
