We seriously need to put together a ride to remember JohnG. All proceeds go to Nan's charity. May of next year marks the 10 year anniversary of this club and website. I think it would be cool to do something like this to honor JohnG

Joy had mentioned interested in hosting the ShamRock event herself. Nan also looked at me and said she guesses she's gonna need to learn how to drive now. I'd like to see what the family wants before we go planning anything.

^^^
But I also believe they will be in on about whatever

Yah, Nan asked me yesterday if I would teach her how to drive John's buggy, that would be huge to see her drive around a few trails at the event. Nate Tucker text me to see if we were interested in getting a sticker made up in memorial. If so, we would need to come up with some John G slogan kind of like they did Shannon Fox "Bombshell Angel" :dunno:

Sounded like "Take the hardline" was a slogan most folks were suggesting. I like it, as well.

I'm definitely in on a memorial ride long as I ain't tied up with new house, wedding, or honeymoon whenever the date is set. It would definitely be awesome to see Nan out on the trails in the solo buggy! .38 needs to be on display somewhere! Lol

If this materializes, I'm down to help in whatever capacity needed.

I think the world of his family, and I know in times of grief things are said that are absolutely meant, but simply not realistic. Nan told me she was not going to stop RV'ing even if it meant having to get a smaller RV, she was going to keep at it. I believe her too, since Joy as well as the Galbreath parent's all enjoy RV'ing.
I know a handful of families that have lost the primary offroader in the family, whether it be the father or even a son, and they try to continue the sport the person loved, but interest waned. I truly hope they continue the sport John loved, but I would not love that family less if they didn't. It was his love, not theirs, They just supported him, because they loved him.
If they decide, whatever they decide, I'm down to help in any way possible.

I'm headed to Nan's now. I'll inquire if it's appropriate.

I think something should be planned...and it should be a regular if not seasonal event. I also think we have time to plan it.

I know in the last few years, the Hardline rides have been a fun way to get some folks together. John and I had talked about parks to try and hit in the upcoming years. I know that isn't what this post is about, but I would like to think 2-4 Hardline rides a year should happen. I missed the last one with a bad back and he ribbed me about it every time I saw him after.

It's been decided. Nan will be putting on next years Shamrock Run. The named charity will be The Ladies of the Nile foundation, as she is on the board of directors. This will be THE John Galbreath Memorial ride. I understand Nan has already made arrangements with Randy. :woot:

Awesome news Rich, that will give enough time to get the Solo buggy back on the road and her some time to learn to drive it. I don't see her hitting Copperhead or GBU, but some trail cruising will do her some good.

Someone needs to be designated liaison for Nan and Joy. They don't need to do all the work themselves. I am good to help with whatever is needed.

This is very good to hear.

I agree. Running an event is really stressful.
