Ok, so I joined these forums back in november when I purchased a 1987 toyota 4x4 pickup with the 22re engine in it. I decided then I was going to save up and do an SAS and make it into a wheeling rig. Well, recently I ran across an old friend at school who had a 1985 toyota 4x4 pickup sr5 that was lifted 6 inches with a solid axle already in it for 2500 dollars. When I asked him why he wanted to sell it, he said he wanted good gas mileage. So I decided I would take a shot at trying to trade him for my truck, and the swap ended up working out perfectly. The only thing I had to do to my truck is put a cd player in it and finish painting it, which turned out to be a sweet metallic blue color . So yeah yesterday I swapped my 87 yota for his 85 yota with a buick 3.8 v6 engine in it and it's lifted 6 inches but only on 31's for the moment. Now I have an awesome potential wheeler, and I'm going to keep building it up a little bit a time. The first step would be figure out how to make all the lights work, ie the dash lights and the tail lights, then once that's figured out I will have to find some tires for it, I'm thinking either 35's or 36's. So what you guys think? My new truck is the black one on the left, and yes I did cut off that one light above the cab of the truck, because it looked so gay... The blue truck is my old one that I just finished painting.

And here is what my 1987 used to look like before I painted it and swapped it.
