What all is involved in putting a set of CUCV axles, a 60/14b combo, in a K5? It's a late 80's with 10 bolts front and rare. New perches moving springs etc.
I got an 84 K5 I swapped a set of axles from a cucv. They'll bolt right up.
You may have to swap yokes on T-case to a 1350 though. I did replace the rear
perches ,but just so could rotate the axle up a little without using shims.
Maybe someone else can confirm but I'm pretty sure all 1/2, 3/4, and , 1 ton GM's had the same 2 1/2" leaf spring width, front and rear. You can roll ur old ones out and slide ur tons right in and bolt em up. If you've got a donor rig you'll probably need to use the U bolts and spring pads because your axle tube is a little bigger, all other hook ups be bout the same, except ur U joint size on front rear drive shafts, hope this helps a little and isn't completely incorrect. Good luck.
