What I gay place, I have been readin the threads on pirate for shits and just saw on Dans facebook, that the CHP has them stopped at the border and wont let me in cause they are too heavy. :wtflol:

This is what Dan wrote to me on FaceBook last night.

Yeah we ended up driving north and coming across at a different check point. The fawker on I-8 screwed us out of a day. We will be at Turn Key Engines at 7:30 in the morning.

I think we will be comming in on I 10. Looks like that is where Dan detoured to if he went north. I bet he had to stop at the scales. We are not stopping unless the man with the blue lights stops us after the scales. Might even take a back road arounf the scales if need be.

remember trailers in CA = 55mph

The 55 MPH speed limit on California freeways applies to trucks with 3 or more axles, or with a GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of more than 26,000 lbs. It ALSO APPLIES to ANY vehicle towing a trailer.

Im against the wall too, CA has a 40' rule kingpin to rear axle, im 41'5". They also have a "motorsports exemption", but you have to be going to a recognized event like NASCAR, NHRA and such. Im crossing my fingers and hoping they are too busy to measure.

We were wondering about yours. The trailer that ours is going on is 44' to the rear axle

I hope they make it okay.

When are you planning on going out? We are leaving in the morning and hope to be in CA sometime Sunday. Call Droop if you need any help we will haul the 34 footer back out and load your **** up if we have to.
