Looking for any ides on vendors or a more competent tube fabricators to make me set of non-fixed (opening) doors in knockdown form for my XP900. I'm semi-skilled at tube bending and am adequate at welding but don't have the dies or skill to bend up doors for a SxS.

I can fit them up , weld them and skin them but just looking for ways to get the $650+ price tag down a little. These would need to be mild steel , in I guess 1" tube ?

Thanks , Jeff

assembling them is the easy part. basically free after the thinking, material and bending comes into play. welding them up is the easiest part. i dont think youre gonna save much with this endeavor

I was thinking by not paying for welding.. tabs.. powdercoat .. aluminum sheet.. latch.. and possibly considerably cheaper shipping these doors would be 40% or more cheaper to your door.

Granted , the shop offering knock-down doors would need to already be producing completed door sets and just offer this as a option.

I've contacted a couple larger fab companies that already build UTV doors and they said the cheap part is tube and the bending ..believe it or not. They have maybe $75 in tubing in a mild steel door and all the bending R&D was proven out long before now.

Just a thought , I know you can save damn near 50% by buying knock-down cages for SxS's.

Just a cheapass I guess.
