no, its just too far. 1400 miles from home. too close after Grock and not too long before Jellico.Its just too many miles and $ spent. We were actually planning on racing all the Colodaro Hill Climb Assn. races prior to the anouncement that the last one was a qualifier for KOH10. They are only taking 5 out of that race. I guess I'm gonna have to take my chances there. If I blow it there my only hope is getting in the LCQ. Vegas to Reno is way too grueling. I think we are pushing rock CRAWLERS too much, they arent desert racers as much as we would like to think. Thats where all these new safety rules are coming from. Soon we will all have all out desert cars, and be nowhere near our roots.

I noticed they are gonna have even more safety requirements for 2010. I think we would have a good chance of qualifying at RC in May, but life is getting in the way and we have family stuff happening this year. I don't have the time or money to put towards it, plus it is 13 hours away and Cali is 30 hours away. We are just too damn far from the desert!

Yep, it is 1000 miles for me to PA. But I see it as a great shot for me to get a spot. Those that get the 10 spots will be in a great position to market themselves and get sponsor help between now and '10. It is going to be hard to pull that and the XRRA events off, but if it was easy everyone would do it.
