What do you guys think? Anybody looked at it? There is a ton of stuff in it, but some of the tech changes I noted were:

One Piece Firesuits Only
2 Taillights & 1 Amber
Safety Fuel Cell (Must have a inner liner and baffling)

Then section 19.2 blows my mind as I wonder if they will enforce it:

It says that tubing size for the vehicles will be based on Dry Vehicle Weight Rating (DVWR)

Under 2k - 1.5 x .095
Under 3200 - 1.5 x .120
3200 - 4200 - 1.75 x .120
Over 4200 - 2.0 x.120

That would mean that my 3500lb rig could not compete with 1.5x.120 wall dom.

If this is true and they enforce it then that would rule a bunch of people out

I see why, I see KOH not being in anyone reach unless you are sponsored heavily. 2010 may be the last year for the "traditional wheeler"....Hell 2009 might have been

I agree, as soon as I looked at the Rules last night I thought to myself its gone mainstream and the little man is left out. There is no way I would do all that stuff to my buggy to run just once and it only pays for 1st place.

After looking at it I feel that same as Bones and Cole. If they try to enforce the cage rule then I am out. I am not having my chassis rebuilt for this. Noboby builds with 1.75 these days. I can handle the crazy fuel cell rule, but the cage rule is nuts. I really wanted to make another run in 2011, but with these rules and more coming who knows if that is even feasible.

Edit the Roll Cage Rule was a typo and was just suggested, not required

i just did a drift car cage, and the rules are
vehicle
weight mild steel alloy steel

up to 1500 LBs 1.375X.095 1.375X.080
1501 to 2499 LBS 1.50X.095 1.50X.095
2500 LBs and up 1.75X.095 1.75X.095
