KOH updates

Ok smart asses, you got me.

I would like for someone to text me updates, during the KOH race, please.

Driving thru Texas right now, about 400 miles eaast of El Paso on I-10. Just changed a flat on the trailer. We'll be in El Paso tonight, Parker tomorrow night thru Sat night, head to lakebed on Sunday morning.

Man I was hoping you would drive 40 so you could tell me what the roads were like ;D

And its 16 degrees outside. :****:

That is a COLD section of Texas for sure. Jim and I got in a ice storm there coming back from the Hammers one year and ended up towing my 34' trailer through the grass to get on the frontage road. We passed 20 miles of stopped and wrecked vehicles.....

Looking more like I will drop down and go 10 through Houston on Friday as well. Looking like some ice Friday and plus the Superbowl traffic....

Was it a new tire that popped?

Good luck Travis, drive smart.

No, it was a decent tire, but not new. I had 1 questionable tire when I left, it may have had a few belts showing. But I found a nail in it when I was checking pressure, so it got replaced too.

I need the info on this bypass please.

When you hit Houston take 45 south. Once you hit Galveston island hang a right on 61st street. When you get to the T interesection Red light where 61st runs into Seawall BLVD, stay straight for roughly 100ft.

:flipoff1:

Seriously though, as you approach San Antonio on I-10 take Exit 587 and take a right on 1604. 1604 is a loop that runs around the north end of San Antonio and picks I-10 back up on the northwest side.
Look at a map and you'll realize I-10 dives way south to downtown then back north as it heads west. You are cutting off that horn and all of the traffic that goes with it.

Hilarious.

So josh, gonovit, is on his way to vegas to meet the rest of our crew and the wives. He decided to try 20 after talking to drivers on cb. Bad idea, 200 miles in the past 6 1/2 hrs and still a long way to go to get through it.

I-10 from Baton Rouge to San Antonio is going to be ****ed starting around 3pm today on into Friday noonish. A lot of moisture off the gulf is going to dump snow south to north 100 or so miles from the coast. Kinda like lake effect snow for Chicago, only we dont have snow removal equip down here.
