im about to order a kit from them. i have been looking on pirate at the good and bad on them. have you or anybody you know ran one and been happy with it. any info is helpful
thanks

I have not personally. But I have not heard one good thing about them. I would not run one. Stick with a company that strictly does crawler steering systems, or better yet run a stock chevy pump...simple and reliable, cheap too. Just my $.02. You can have a good system without a $2,000 pump reguardless of what people say on pirate.

sbc that will probably turn 6000 max. i was looking at the alum. krc. what TC pump can i get to work for me? rockwells and 44s is what its going to be turning with a 2x10 log splitter cyl.

If you dead set on a KRC I would at least get the cast ones, just from what I have "heard". Cole needs to add some tech, he had one!

If you decide to go the route, I have the mounting bracket for the SBC. I tried two KRC pumps, but they did not work for me.

im not really set on krc. i have just heard a lot about them, the more i read the more mixed feelings im getting.

i ran one on a chevy 406 with about 500hp at the rear ,with full hydro an and rear steer ,super fast ,and they are not a bad price, also we just got dune puting one on a 460 in my buddies buggy

I would NOT go with a pump with an AL housing. I don't know much about KRC, but you can't go wrong with PSC or Howe. Hell I wish mine had a stock pump on it just so it would not cost a fortune to replace

I had a KRC pump on my orange jeep and it worked fine. For all I know it is still on there. Don't get one of the Aluminums because it won't last. KRC is what Bryan Cole, and Darrel and Cameron and the rest of that crew swear by. PM youngbuck and ask him about it.

man, if its on a SBC, go with the stock P pump. that pump is capable of way more than a TC or other style ever will be. that's the truth. the pumps modded to flow over 7 gpm and **** are P's. get a stock ass old chevy pump with can and rock the fawk out. high flow mod it (search anywhere) and put a cooler in line. no probs

OK I just talked to Cameron and he said the Aluminum one with the biggest Flow valve they have.

There is a reason why the part number for a P pump at autozone for a 70's gm pickup and my 07 D max are the same. So over 30 years GM still uses the same damn PS pumps because they LAST, been proven for years. With a stock one you realy dont need a cooler (good idea though) , and they flow plenty, and if you want more, you can do the west texas offroad thing to it.

the reason for the krc is that i have no kind of bracketry on the motor right now, or pump. krc pumps and brackets look cool, and i had a bad experience with a stock chevy pump before with the mods, i wound up having to use a 2.5x8 ram to make it move, and about a **** ton of turns on the steeringwheel.....but it could have been the orbital too...anyways thanks for all the info.

most of us run the stock P pump with a flow mod. they're under $50 at the parts store if you need another. Tough as nails.
the stock brackets work fine, both serpentine and V belt.
I'm just a cheap ass though, so I'd say if you got it to spend, maybe do it.

The KRC stuff does look cool, especially their pump/res all in one, with no suction hose, but they dont perform as good as they look. I would only run one on a late model or a dirt car.

So you are saying Cameron's steering on Fat Girl wasn't any good? That **** was fast as Hell. He burnt up a POS pump first then went to KRC and didn't have any issues.

I personally am not baggin on the KRC, just seems like a lot of money. If he made it survive on the rev limiter and with that much steering, I'm actually impressed.
