So I wired up the new buggy and turned on the ignition and everything fired up as it should. Pushed the ignition button and it started right up, it idoled for a few minutes as I tried to clean the serpentine belt and bleed the cooling system. Then it sputtered out. I tried to start it back up and nada. So i checked the fuel system and I am not getting voltage from the computer to fuel pump. What would cause this?

SBC 383 with tuned port injection.

whos efi box is it.

does it have separate relay for fuel pump

does it have fuse for fuel pump

do you have pre filter before pump

Affordable fuel injection.

It does have a separate relay but not a separate fuse.

The pump is in tank and brand new. Then I have an inline corvette filter.

So here is what's weird. I completely disconnect everything and turn it on and it calls for fuel again. Runs for a few min then shuts off. Turn the ignition off and the check engine light stays on disconnect the battery and it's off. Turn it all back on and it calls for fuel again?

Is the computer seeing that the engine is running? If not it will not run the pump.

My guess why the light is going out is, it probably takes the computer a second to realize there is a problem. When you disconnect the battery it maybe clearing the code.

I should rephrase that. The battery is always connected to the computer to keep it from clearing codes. But when I throw the master disconnect for the rest of the system
